By using NexType you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. If you use NexType on behalf of an organization, you accept these terms for them.

NexType is a free typing test and practice tool with optional accounts, cloud sync, leaderboards and real-time races. We may add, change or remove features at any time, and we provide the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

• You're responsible for activity under your account.
• Choose a username that isn't offensive, misleading, or impersonating others. We may reclaim or reset usernames that violate this.
• Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in secure.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts or macros to inflate scores or leaderboards.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
• Harass other players or abuse the race-invite system.
• Use NexType for anything unlawful.

NexType runs statistical anti-cheat on results. Runs flagged as suspicious are excluded from leaderboards, and we may remove scores or restrict accounts that abuse fair play — at our discretion.

The NexType name, design, code and content are owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of the text you type. Quotes and word lists belong to their respective owners and are used for practice.

Sign-in, hosting and real-time features rely on third parties (Google, GitHub, Turso, Pusher, Vercel). Your use of those is also subject to their terms and policies.

NexType is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that scores/data will always be preserved.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NexType and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the service.

You may stop using NexType and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or harms other users or the service.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
